(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,

Dear Arts Patrons,
Welcome to this 2023–24 performing arts season production. The quality programming you are about to enjoy, and in which the university community takes so much pride, would be impossible without our friends, benefactors, and audience members. We are very pleased to have you join us.
This season is an expanded and eclectic mix of music, drama, music theatre, and stand-up comedy performed by outstanding artists ranging from nationally known acts to Viterbo students. The carefully crafted schedule reflects our dedication to upholding the legacy of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration and their goal of sharing the wonder of the arts with everyone in the region.
To all Viterbo arts patrons, benefactors, sponsors, volunteers, artists, and students, thank you very much for your continued support.
Enjoy the show! “Pace e Bene”
Peace and all good
Rick Trietley
Viterbo University President
Teneal never envisioned herself as a performer, but having inherited her voice from her mother, the universe had a different plan. She has been nominated for four Independent Music Awards and claimed the title for 2011 Best Gospel Song (I Heard You Prayin’) and 2011 Best R&B Album (Train from Osteen), as well as 2018 Best Soul/Funk/Fusion Song (Danger). Other accolades include the 2008-2010 Orlando Best Live Band, the 2017 Orlando Music Trailblazer Award, and the honor of being chosen as the halftime headliner for the 2019 Citrus Bowl. In 2022, Mayor Buddy Dyer and Mayor Jerry Demmings proclaimed Sept. 17 as Annual Cece Teneal Day in Orlando and Orange County respectively to celebrate her 20 years of arts and entertainment contributions. In 2023, she was honored by the Orlando Magic as a Diversity Game Changer for her philanthropic work in Central Florida.
A consummate performer who delivers “whether there’s five people or 5,000 in the audience,” Teneal seeks to transcend cultural and generational barriers with her music, and audiences can expect a new album later this year to be released on all major streaming platforms at ceceteneal.com.
