Conservatory Note
Welcome to our 2025-26 season at the Conservatory!
Great stories and great music have the power to touch lives, inspire hope, and create community and a sense of belonging. This season, our stages will be alive with bold, heartfelt work from the extraordinary young artists in our Theatre, Musical Theatre, and Music programs.
From timeless classics to fresh new works, from joyful celebrations to thought-provoking journeys, every performance reflects the passion, courage, and artistry of students refining their creative voices. And you—our audience—are the essential ingredient that turns their hard work from “just another rehearsal” into something extraordinary.
By joining us, you’re not only experiencing the magic of live performance—you’re helping shape the next generation of artists who will carry that magic into communities across the country and around the world. Thank you for believing, as we do, in the power of the arts to surprise, to connect, to transform, and to inspire.

Director's Note
It’s alive!
Bringing The Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein to life on stage has been a hilarious and wonderful journey. Brooks' iconic humor, mixed with toe-tapping musical numbers and lightning-fast wordplay, makes this show a rare beast: a loving parody that’s also a heartfelt homage. As with all great comedies, the absurdity masks some surprisingly human truths—about legacy, romance, identity, and the eternal struggle to persevere despite the doubts of others.
Enormous thanks go to our phenomenal cast and crew whose energy and commitment brought this monster to life. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to the world of Dr. Frankenstein (that’s Fronkensteen), we hope you laugh loudly, cheer wildly, and leave the theatre just a little more alive.
Enjoy!
–Daniel Pivovar
Music Director's Note
Mel Brooks’ iconic humor is recognized worldwide. What may be unexpected is that he began as a musician. As a teenager, his drumming mentor was none other than jazz great Buddy Rich. Brooks is also one of the rare entertainers receiving EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) status. This extraordinary talent is apparent in the intricacies in this score, specifically in the extended dance numbers and challenging solos.
