Dear Audience Members,

It’s great to have you with us. The 2025–26 performing arts season is a blend of outstanding music, comedy, dance, and drama sure to entertain and rouse the emotions while reminding us all of everything we love about the arts.

Each production is made possible through the hard work and support of our staff, volunteers, students, faculty, benefactors, sponsors, the FSPA whose vision and courage made the Fine Arts Center possible, and of course, you—our patrons. Thank you to everyone for your crucial role in making Viterbo University the premier destination for the arts in the region.

If you have not yet had the pleasure, I would like to extend a personal invitation to attend one of our Conservatory for the Performing Arts productions this season. The immense talent of our students always makes me extremely proud.

Now, on with the show!

Director's Note

As excited as I am to help deliver the sequel to the groundbreaking Menopause The Musical®, I must first address my own self-consciousness about being a man, directing a show about menopausal women, in this day and age.

I began producing Menopause The Musical® for the author, Jeanie Linders well over a decade ago, and while Jeanie always seemed to appreciate my take on the show being a celebration of life and friendship, I never had any desire or ambition to be on the Menopause creative team. After a few years, and due to a scheduling conflict, she asked me if I would direct a particular production. I knew the show well enough, and felt I was helping out in a pinch. She apparently liked that production very much, and then to my absolute shock announced that I would be the only director moving forward. I was already fairly busy producing the show, but Jeanie was never short on conviction, and nearly impossible to argue with.

Fast forward to today: having spent the last few years developing this sequel as a celebration of the brand, as well as an opportunity to address new issues we didn’t have the latitude in 2001 to discuss, I had very much hoped for Jeanie to be with us on opening night, and to see the new life sprouting from the seed she planted more than two decades ago. Sadly, Jeanie passed away. In honor of her, and respecting her original wishes, I have helped steer this ship to port. When the time comes to step away from this role, I will gratefully do so, but not before honoring her memory to the best of my ability.

To those who have been through the change, are going through it now, or love someone who is, may this production bring you as much laughter, support, and fellowship as intended. And may our dear Jeanie be smiling and laughing from whatever perch she has chosen.

With deepest love and respect,
Seth Greenleaf
