Recycled paper can be comprised of pre- or post-consumer waste (PCW). PCW refers to paper that served its initial, intended function and has been recycled into new paper. Soy ink may contain other vegetable oils, but soybean oil must be the predominant oil. Its chemistry was intended to reduce the amount of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by replacing the petroleum content found in traditional inks. Touchstone is printed entirely with soy inks.
