A Harmonious Endeavor Viterbo University’s tradition of sharing choral music internationally goes back at least 50 years. The recent holiday concert tour of Austria featured something new: Viterbo alumni singing with the choir. Three were 2022 alums, two of them graduating just days before departure. For four others, graduation was between two years and two decades in the past. The trip went so well, it’s likely alumni will take part in future global tours. There’s even talk of taking an all-alumni choir overseas. READ MORE |

Welcome to the Club
The Viterbo University Alumni Association got a bit bigger after the December commencement ceremony, which honored 103 students for earning undergraduate degrees and 33 for graduate degrees. We’d like to introduce two new alumni:
►NATHAN JANZEN, who gave the undergraduate commencement address, earned degrees in music and finance (and took part in the choir trip to Austria).
►ANGEL CARTER, who lost her ability to speak after a stroke at age 17, graduated with a degree in ethics, culture, and society and a minor in cross-categorical special education.

Honoring Viterbo’s Best
Viterbo University takes immense pride in our alumni, for the successes they’ve had after graduation, the differences they’ve made in the world, and the many ways they’ve demonstrated our Franciscan core values.
Since 1967, we’ve been expressing our pride and appreciation for our alumni by annually bestowing Distinguished Alumni Awards. More than 160 alumni have been honored so far, and we’re just getting started.
If you know of alumni who should be honored, please let us know through our online award nomination form. We will gratefully accept nominations through Tuesday, March 1, for 2023 awards to be presented in October during Viterbo Days. Nominees will be considered for three years.
For inspiration, check out our revamped Distinguished Alumni Award page. |
