A Life of Laughter
Paul Thomas ’95 jokes about being a basketball “pine rider.” He has not been on the game of life sidelines. He’s a Chicago college administrator with two master’s degrees, and he’s an award-winning comedian, actor, writer, director, musician, and songwriter. |

Celebrating Viterbo Alumni
Viterbo University's 2021 Distinguished Alumni Award winners were honored Oct. 8 as part of Viterbo Days.
This year's honorees included, from left: Joel Theisen ’90, Avery Boettcher ’15, Arbender Robinson ’98, Lindsey Giese ’07, Aaron Rasch ’15, Ryan Rieber ’01, ’06, Joshua Clark ’08, and Debra Murray ’90. Emily (Stemper) Schmidt ’13 was unable to attend the ceremony, which was recorded and can be viewed online.
Photographs of the weekend's activities also can be viewed in online galleries.
Speed Mock Interviewers Sought
Remember before you turned pro, when job interviews gave you the shakes? Many Viterbo students dread interviews, but you can help them by volunteering to conduct mini-interviews with them at the speed mock interview event, which will be a virtual event from 6–7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16. Sign up online by Nov. 9, and help a V-Hawk soar to success.
Answering the Call
Viterbo students have begun reaching out to alumni as part of Viterbo's annual phonathon. We hope you will take time to answer their call.
There's more to this tradition than asking for gifts to keep Viterbo strong. You can share what Viterbo means to you and talk about your time here. It’s also an opportunity for you to learn what’s new at Viterbo, including the Alumni Plaza project to honor our heritage and create a signature destination on campus.
If the students can't connect with you by phone, you also can give online, call 608-796-3070, or mail a gift to 900 Viterbo Drive, La Crosse, WI 54601.

Do You Know a Future V-Hawk?
Do you know a high school senior who would be a good fit for Viterbo? Maybe you know a college graduate looking to advance their education and career by earning an advanced degree or certificate. If so, please fill out our online referral form.
The Viterbo admissions office also is gathering information regarding opportunities to engage alumni in helping prospective students learn more about Viterbo. Help from alumni in engaging prospective students and telling the Viterbo story is greatly appreciated.
We are especially seeking to increase interest in the following counties: Dane, Eau Claire, Chippewa, Outagamie, and Pierce in Wisconsin and Winona, Hennepin, and Ramsey in Minnesota.
To help in this effort, please fill out a short survey, which should take about five minutes to complete. Thank you for considering helping keep Viterbo strong.

Our Viterbo in the News page is packed with media reports on alumni and happenings at the university. Email Randy Erickson if you have a media report about alumni you'd like to add to this page.
